Executive Coaching for Creatives

As a former agency and in-house creative leader, I coach creative leaders at the intersection of science and story, helping them lead with conviction, navigate complex corporate dynamics, and build careers that align with their purpose. You translate complex innovation into meaning. You manage across to regulatory, legal, and executive teams — and down to designers, writers, freelancers, and vendors who rely on your clarity and vision.

You carry the weight of timelines, approvals, launches, and performance metrics, often while navigating burnout, invisible labor, and creative fatigue. I know the intensity of agency life. I understand the pressure of leading in-house creative teams. I’ve seen how quickly purpose-driven work can turn into depletion. Coaching is a confidential, strategic space where you get to step out of performance mode. Together, we clarify your values, motives, and leadership identity so you can:

  • Lead with conviction rather than over-functioning

  • Navigate corporate dynamics without losing your creative voice

  • Make aligned career decisions: promotion, pivot, or reinvention

  • Rebuild energy and resilience without sacrificing ambition

Coaching is a creative and thought-provoking process designed to help you maximize your personal and professional potential. It’s not therapy. It’s not consulting. It’s a partnership built around clarity, courage, and forward momentum. Even the most accomplished leaders need a space where they don’t have to be the strong one. The most strategic leaders already know: Having a coach isn’t indulgent, it’s intelligent.

"Whatever you think you can do or believe you can do, begin it. Action has magic, grace and power in it."
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

FAQ

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?

Both coaching and therapy recognize the importance of self-awareness to facilitate change. Both require professional skills such as listening, presence, trust, and evoking awareness.  However, the purpose of coaching is future-, goal-, and solution-focused and tends to contract for 4, 6, and possibly 12 sessions. Apologies to all my therapist friends for oversimplifying here, but in therapy we tend to reflect on obstacles and the past in order to be more present. In coaching, the aim is to focus on present action plans and solutions that will move us toward the future we envision.

What should I expect from a coaching experience?

Coaching, like life, is a hands-on experience. Clients come with topics that will help them move forward, gain clarity, and achieve personal goals. In a typical session you would set the goal. We would discuss the current situation. We would then generate and evaluate options and finish with a plan or a way forward. Somewhere in the middle is the thought-provoking and creative process. The magic. The aha moments of insight. It's one of the reasons I became a coach.

What are the Benefits of Executive/Leaderhip Coaching?

In a few words: clarity, forward motion, alignment. If you are considering coaching, chances are you are already a go-getter. a goal-setter, a high-achiever. So if you're like me, you're thinking, why do I need to pay someone to help with that? Answer: you don't. A coach doesn't help you set or achieve goals. You do that. A good coach supports you getting really clear on what goals or moves are ultimately really important to you, and exploring different approaches to challenges as you move toward your best self. Coaching gives you the space to have aha moments about your journey and then take action.
